Melissa Harvison joined Norris George & Ostrow PLLC in October 2020 as a legal secretary and transitioned to the role of financial analyst and paralegal in 2025. She holds a Master of Arts degree (with Distinction) in Applied Linguistics for English Language Teaching from Queen Mary, University of London, graduating first in her class and was a finalist for the International Dissertation Award, an award sponsored by the British Association of Lecturers in English for Academic Purposes (BALEAP) to recognize scholars who make significant contributions to the body of knowledge in applied linguistics. Melissa also holds a Cordon Bleu Diploma (with Distinction) from Tante Marie Culinary Academy, a cookery school owned and operated by Gordon Ramsay Holdings Limited in Woking, England, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature (with a focus on Southern Literature and Critical Theory) from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi.
Prior to her academic and culinary endeavors, Melissa worked as a legal secretary for Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP, a litigation paralegal for Butler Snow LLP, and as a subprime credit manager for a subsidiary of Wells Fargo.
