Cassandra M. Pereda joined Norris George & Ostrow PLLC in June of 2021. In connection with a variety of tax-exempt affordable multifamily housing bonds, including public offerings and private placements of rated and unrated bonds, Ms. Pereda has served as underwriter’s counsel, issuer’s counsel, and purchaser’s counsel. Ms. Pereda has furthermore served as tax-exempt bond and loan counsel for the largest bank sponsored tax-exempt housing bond and loan conduit private placement program in the country for affordable multifamily rental projects.

Ms. Pereda graduated from Emory University with honors (Phi Beta Kappa) in 2017, where she earned a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in Psychology. Ms. Pereda graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2021, as a Chancellor’s Law Scholar. While in law school, Ms. Pereda participated in moot court, was a research assistant to a law school professor, represented a client through the Turner Family Community Enterprise Clinic, and was the Wellness Chair for the Vanderbilt Bar Association. Furthermore, Ms. Pereda was a law firm summer associate, interned with the in-house legal department of the Nashville Predators, and interned with the New York City Bar Justice Center’s Neighborhood Entrepreneur Law Project to offer pro bono legal services to small business owners.

Ms. Pereda was admitted to the District of Columbia Bar in 2021, and is a member of the American Bar Association and the National Association of Bond Lawyers.
